FIRST COMPETITION OF THE YEAR IN HUNGARY

Before the summer holidays, the hungarian participants took the competition in Százhalombatta Sport Center at 27th June. Although the weather was particularly hot and dry, most of the more than hundred elderly men and women took part in the five sports.

As in the following year, the day passed in splendid atmosphere. The elderly and some of their grandchildren enjoyed the sport sas well as each others company. The most popular sports were the orientation running, archery (which is a hungarian national sport) and indoor rowing, but more and more people started to play also petanque and bowls. The competition in these sports was tough but also friendly. The winners recieved special, akril trophies with the logo of In Common Sports but every participant had a small medallion as a keepsakes of this great day.
With this event the series of competitions have started, the next ones will be organised in September!
